SCC offers two Rental Periods: Weekly Rental (7 days) and Production Rental (15 weeks).The Production Rental rate is based on the Weekly Rental Rate plus an additional 30%. All rates shall be set forth on the Rental Form.
Please note that all costumes rented from Southeast Costume Company will be used for the purpose of Motion Picture or Theatrical costuming and for no other use.
All Rentals require a valid credit card on file and payment of a deposit as set forth in the Rental Form. All Rentals must be paid within thirty (30) days of the date of invoice. All unpaid amounts owed after such thirty (30) day period shall be subject to a service charge of 1.5% per month or, if less, the maximum rate allowed by law. Final invoices may be paid in cash, by approved company check, Visa, Mastercard or American Express. A $20.00 processing fee will be charged for any returned check. SCC reserves the right to charge the credit card on file for any overdue invoices plus any applicable service charge.
24 Hour Approval Period
SCC offers a 24 Hour Approval Period (the “Approval Period”) for fitting purposes only. Costumes used for any other purpose during the Approval Period will be charged as a Weekly Rental. Costumes may be taken on Friday only with advance approval from SCC. Costumes returned within the 24 Approval Period are subject to a 20% restocking fee.
All Costumes must be returned by 6pm on the last day of the Rental period. Any Costumes returned after 6pm shall be subject to a late charge of 25% per day until returned. If for any reason Costumes are needed for an additional amount of time please contact SCC to discuss options for extending the Rental period.
Costumes may be altered to fit, but must be returned to their original condition before cleaned and returned. All alterations must be sewn. Alterations requiring cutting and dying of Costumes is never allowed without written permission from SCC. Iron-on bonding web, glue or any other type of permanent adhesives may NOT be used. Failure to return Costumes in their original condition or the use of any prohibited alteration method will incur damage charges.
Costumes are to be returned CLEAN, either professionally dry-cleaned or laundered. This includes shoes & accessories. Any Costume returned not clean is subject to a 15% cleaning fee.
￼All items pulled but not rented must be restocked at the time of the pull. There will be a 20% restock fee if not restocked properly.
Wardrobe may placed on hold for two weeks at no charge. Items remaining after two weeks will incur a 20% restock fee.
Costumes are to be returned clean and with any and all hangers, bags, boxes or other items that were sent with the Rental. Any lost or damaged Costumes must be acknowledged to SCC at the time of return to facilitate the return process. A final outstanding invoice will be issued after the return has been processed by SCC and any discrepancies settled.
Damaged or Lost Costumes
In the event of loss, theft or damage of any Costume, (normal wear and tear excluded) Customer shall be responsible for payment of the repair or replacement. Full replacement value equals 10 times the Rental price, unless otherwise specified by SCC on the Rental Form. Damage includes but is not limited to broken zippers, detached garment pieces, make-up or other permanent stains or any other damage that renders the costume unfit for rental. Damages to costumes which cannot be reasonably repaired at the discretion of SCC will be assessed at the replacement value of the costume. Such damages include, but are not limited to irreparable tears, major seam damage, damage from pins, or irreversible damage. If damage has occurred to a Costume, please contact SCC before attempting a major repair to determine if the proposed method is the recommended one.
